Safari / Nature Tours in Gdansk

If you didn’t know, Gdansk isn’t just about city streets and amber shops. Just outside town, there’s a whole world of nature waiting. Think sprawling forests and quiet trails where you might catch a glimpse of deer or wild boar. One favorite spot is the Tricity Landscape Park, barely a 20-minute drive from Gdansk’s center. It’s where I often head when I want a break from the city noise. Sometimes I rent a bike and follow the trails, or just walk, listening for birds – you’d be surprised how many species live here.

And if you’re up for something a bit different, local guides offer boat tours through the waters near Sobieszewo Island. You might see seals lounging on the shore or migratory birds resting. I recommend going early in the morning when it’s quieter. Oh, and bring insect repellent in summer; those marshy areas love their mosquitoes! No fancy safari jeeps here, but if you want close-to-nature experiences with a real local feel, these tours and walks are a great way to go.
