Bistro Familia served traditional Vilnius cuisine. According to the restaurant owner, all the recipes come from his family's indescribable cookbook. Each of the dishes was prepared earlier either by the mother or grandmother of the owner, who lived in Vilnius. Vilnius, today capital of Lithuania, before the Second World War belonged to Poland. The specialty of the restaurant is dumplings: Kibiny with crispy pastry, Manty – steamed dumplings, and Kolduny. In a menu, it is to find also Czanachy - a kind of beef stew and a couple of soups.

The restaurant is located in one of the oldest buildings in Gdansk. It was built around 1300 and it was initially used as a coach house for the Golden Gate building. The restaurant also has an extensive wine list - over 370 different types. This is also referred to the tradition of this place. Well-known astronomer Jan Hevelius about 400 years ago in this place stored his collection of wines here. The restaurant place is for about 100 people.
