Gdansk is the biggest city on the Polish coast sealine. It has more than 1000 years of history. Now it is the sixth biggest city in Poland with about half a million inhabitants. Together with the cities of Gdynia and Sopot and some suburban communities form a metropolitan area called Tricity. A population of the metropolis is about 1.1 million. The coastline with beautiful sandy beaches,  charming old city, many parks makes the city very nice place to live, and a very popular area to have shorter or longer holidays. Nothing strange that more than 2 million tourist comes to Gdansk every year.
