The 'Down The Road Wherever' tour starts in Barcelona in April and after 4 months ends in Verona. There will be two performances in Poland: July 10th in Krakow, and July 11th in Gdansk/Sopot Ergo Arena.
The tour will promote the new album. It is ninth solo studio album of the artist. At the concert, Knopfler will sing both old and new songs.
Knopfler will be performing with his band. Most of the 10 musicians works with the artist for more than 20 years: Guy Fletcher (keyboards), Richard Bennett (guitar), Jim Cox (piano), Mike McGoldrick (whistle and flute), John McCusker (fiddle and cittern), Glenn Worf (bass), Danny Cummings (percussion) and Ian Thomas (drums). New additions will be Graeme Blevins ( saxophone ) and Tom Walsh (trumpet).
