Pierogi should be one dish that one must try when in Poland. And if you are in Gdansk on a nice warm day, this restaurant would be a very good choice because it has a very nice Garden sitting, which offers great view of the church and the nice streets. We really enjoyed the view and the breeze of the outdoor dining. Service was wonderful, thanks to Nikola K! She was very attentive and kind. She made our experience even more enjoyable. Pierogi were also tasty. We tried both oven-baked as well as steamed versions. Being Koreans, we really appreciated the shape that is similar to Korean Mandu. Our pierogi were good, but not great. But we only tried three flavors. And there were more than 10 different variations. So we hope to find our favorite pierogi by trying more in the next few days. 😉 Ah! Order salad or pickles as side dish to complement.
Excellent place! While I was seated immediately, I did have to wait about 45 minutes for dinner to arrive, but they serve drinks and free bread quicker, so you have something to snack on while waiting. I got the 9 piece tasting plate, which was quite good. It was a good size and gives a good variety to try. Speaking of the drinks, the złota ślikwa cocktail was amazing, absolutely recommend trying it since goldwasser is a local specialty. The apple pie was also fluffy and rich. I highly recommend visiting. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. I was served by Wiktoria who did a wonderful job.
Maksymilian was an amazing waiter! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. He made sure everything was perfect without ever being intrusive. Great service, great attitude, and definitely one of the reasons we had such a great experience. The kitchen is fantastic, and I highly recommend the pierogi. They were absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be back!🥟🍻
The food is good. The time to get it is very long. Most staff try to be helpful, but they are busy. If you don't have at least an hour and a half . I dont recommend it for lunch. Our waiter was excellent. He showed us how to get a deal by instead of ordering 2 plates of 5, just get the mixed plate of 9. If you have the patience. It was really good
What an absolute gem in Gdańsk. Beautifully cosy, full of character and clearly very popular, so definitely book ahead unless you’re happy to wait (we waited nearly an hour). A lovely touch on arrival was the complimentary fresh bread with garlic spread, which was simply divine. The food was outstanding, especially the mushroom pierogi, the megamix is perfect if you want to try a variety. Drinks were equally impressive, the compote is refreshing and authentic, while the lemonade is exceptional. A great bonus is the small play area downstairs, making it very family-friendly. The only downsides were the long wait and paying 17 PLN for a jug of tap water. That said, the overall experience was excellent and absolutely worth it.
