Close to the beach but far from anything and everything else. Be prepared to use uber a lot. But for families that their goal is to have activities inside (swimming pool, saunas, gym, restaurant) or be close to the beach, this one will do. The hotel in general looks different to what the photos show - it's old and in need of refurbishment. But after a while you don't see it, it's just another hotel... No A/C! (????) Gym had basic and prehistoric equipment - from before we were born. Interesting to see such things, you are saving on museum tickets. The stay is too expensive to what it actually is.
Very great hotel. Big thanks to Mrs Magdalena that made our stay special , i could not ask anything better . Rooms are clean and all staff is very nice . Location is great. Thanks Gabriele
I had a great stay at the Mercure Hotel Posejdon in Gdańsk. The hotel itself was comfortable, clean, and in a great location near the beach, making it a perfect spot to relax and explore the area. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. A special shoutout to Kacper, who truly went above and beyond for my friends and me. He was incredibly attentive to all of our requests and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. His positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out. Kacper is easily the best employee there and a big reason why our stay was so enjoyable. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
Overall its an ok hotel. However, there are children running through the corridors basically all day. Also the pool and spa area were very full, not really possible to “relax” there. I read some comment that people were calling this hotel a kindergarten, I do kinda agree.. On the other hand, the location and the staff are great. Rooms on itself are ok, but quite noisy. Also, the smart tv doesn’t fully work, it was not connected to internet and the network settings are restricted.
Mercury is situated at the seaside quite far from the centre so it is preaceful place. We had double room with the balcony and the view on the greenery. The bed is very comfortable. There is small electric cattle so you can make a cup of tea if you want. Bathroom is clean and spacy enough. The food in the restaurant was tasty, many various dishes and soup (fish soup! 🍲) Yammy! I can't say that I didn't like something. The pool is unfortunately small, full of children and people and it is impossible to swim and water was rather cold. It is easy to get to Oliwa centre or to the Old Town because there is bus stop and tram stop about 100m from the hotel. The ticket is cheap about 1€. You can also ask for Bold taxi. Not too expensive, it depends when you are going to go somewhere.
