One of the best fine dining experiences we have visited. The food was delicious, the staff extremely friendly, helpful and attentive, they explained every dish carefully and would be with us at the table inmediately whenever we needed something. We went on our anniversary and the staff also prepared a nice gift for us, which we are very happy and thankful for.
It was definitely our best experience in Gdansk. The asparagus-infused dessert is definitely the favorite for me. The head chef even asked us at the end about our experience. What is not to like? I would absolutely visit again when I become a millionaire. Edit: I just became a millionaire, and will visit this place again soon.
Fino understands finesse in a way that I've yet to find outside Tom Aiken in London (£300 ofc). The ingredients (peas and asparagus to foie and caviar) are excellent quality (with a small doubt about the venison which was a tad bland) and execution is balanced and inventive. The tartare in oyster and the crayfish soup were outstanding; the fennel sorbet refresher between courses was delightful. The dining area is expertly managed with smooth service, and feels pleasant though not as upscale in furnishing. £135 for the tasting menu and a glass of very bright polish riesling from a list with many single glass options.
From start to finish, everything about this experience was excellent. Staff were very attentive, plating was choriographed as you'd want it to be, food described and interactions were warm, friendly and professional. The food was exceptional; the chefs personality was felt through his dishes. I particularly loved how flavour forward and texturally interesting they were. No dish slipped under the taste bud radar, all of them lit up your palette in a balanced but strong way. Flavours strong but not overwhelming. Textures introduce to keep each mouthful interesting. How this restaurant has not yet got its michelin star is bonkers. Value for money, for this level of food was genuinely outstanding. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Go, you won't be disappointed. Our party tried both the meat/fish and plant-based menus, both were utterly fabulous.
The best meal you can have, you'll have here. Greg and Dawid were amazing in the service, thank you so much for making our evening so cozy and special. We felt so comfortable that we didn't see the hours passing by one dish after the other. My partner brought me there for my 40th birthday and I couldn't be spoiled better. The theme Winter Carnival was so fitting and the food was a bang to all the senses. You could feel the love put in every dish. The wine pairing was great and it was really nice to get all the information in a very good and fun way for every glass we had. Thank you all the crew and the chef Jacek for indulging us with one of the best meals in our lives, for the surprise and for making me not feel old when getting older 😂. And thank you Greg for the amazing homemade liqueur!!! Recommending this place is an understatement. It's a must when in Gdańsk or go to Gdańsk so you can visit this place.
