Meet your guide, Brother Tomasz - a robed, slightly eccentric medieval monk at the Golden Gate. Begin your journey through Gdańsk with a step into the past, but with plenty of humor and curiosity along the way. Just beyond the gate, explore the city's old fortifications: the Highland Gate, the former city Prison, and the Torture Chamber. Hear stories of justice, punishment, and the less-than-comfortable lives of Gdańsk’s medieval wrongdoers. Admire the impressive façade of the Great Armoury. Continue to the towering St. Mary’s Church, the world’s largest brick church, and uncover curious legends hidden within its mighty Gothic walls. Then head toward Neptune’s Fountain - the pride of Długi Targ, where Brother Tomasz shares tales of gods, fountains, and salty superstition. Follow the scent of the sea down to the Motława River and stroll along the port, once alive with cargo, sailors, and stories from every corner of the world.
