Absolutely fantastic experience at Mercato in Hilton Gdańsk. Great food, beautifully presented and full of flavour, but what really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere and the service. Everything feels relaxed but still very professional, exactly how a good restaurant should be. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is obviously amazing, right in the heart of Gdańsk, but Mercato is definitely worth visiting even if you are not staying at the Hilton. We really enjoyed our evening and will absolutely be back. One of those places where everything simply works. Highly recommended. 5 stars from us.
If you like fancy food, a place worth visiting! The staff is doing amazing job! Is the taste worth it? I don’t know but who cares!
The food at Mercato is outstanding. We enjoyed every bite, with our favourite being the rabbit. The chef has created a great menu with a lovely twist on traditional polish dishes. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable answering all our questions with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately for me, my dessert, the baked cheesecake was a little lumpy, but my husband’s was perfection and very delicious. The atmosphere isn’t great, as you are placed in the hotel bar with drinkers and non diners, which tainted the experience a little.
We had a lovely meal at Mercato tonight. The food and service were excellent - Jola gave fantastic advice on wine pairing for our food with tastings after we chose our meals. The service was excellent and we felt that Jola catered to all of our requests - even adding a pause between our courses so that we could enjoy each dish without any rush. On top of that, Jola allowed us to order off-menu cocktails (the best strawberry margherita we've tried) and also offered a complimentary amuse-bouche before and after the meal, which made our anniversary dinner even better. Every dish was delicious - we had rabbit, stroganoff, prawns and a beef tartare - all of which were plated with care. Thank you to Jola and the Mercato team for such a wonderful evening!!
