CURRENCY & EXCHANGE

Despite being in the European Union since 2004, Poland still has his own currency - Polish Zloty. There is a difference in the value of Zloty. In the last 2 years, the exchange rate of 1 Euro was from 4,1 to 4.5 Zloty, and for 1 dollar from 3,30 to 4,60 Zloty. The bill notes come in these values: 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 while 1, 2 and 5 Zloty are in coins. There are 100 groszy in 1 Zloty. There is no problem to exchange a money. It is possible to do it in the bank, but the better exchange rate is to get in currency exchange office (named Kantor). It is easy to find especially in the center of the Cities. Credit Cards (especially VISA and Mastercard) are accepted almost in every shop, restaurant, and hotel.
