We ordered Wiener schnitzel — and were served something that could almost be registered as its own property! Almost half a square meter of crispy schnitzel. A full border of potatoes around the entire plate. About half a kilo of cucumber salad on the side. This was not dinner — it was a project! 😅 After bravely fighting our way through mountains of breading, potatoes, and cucumber, we can safely say that this portion could have fed an entire small-boat marina on a busy summer day.
Visited for lunch and it was a great experience from start to finish. Conveniently located close to the main busy areas, yet the garden seating offered a lovely escape - the view was really nice and made for a relaxed atmosphere. The food was tasty and presented really well, which is always a good sign. Service was professional and impressively quick without feeling rushed. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Our last evening in Gdansk, and what a great experience ... Happy to recommend a very comfortable and welcoming location by the waters edge. The prawn starter was delicious and I would return for that again. Black cod in a leek sauce, and my wife absolutely enjoyed the pork ribs, with beetroot salad. Nice carafe of the house wine. This establishment offers a rather pleasant dining experience, particularly if one is fortunate enough to secure a table by the window, where the views are undoubtedly its most compelling feature. That said, the interior itself feels somewhat dated and would benefit from greater attention to cleanliness and upkeep, which detracts slightly from the overall impression. In terms of cuisine, the bread-bowl soup was quite exceptional, rich, comforting and beautifully presented. The schnitzel was equally well executed. The pierogi and Caesar salad were satisfactory, albeit unremarkable. Regrettably, the pasta Bolognese fell well below expectation and was the weakest element of the meal. Service, however, was prompt, efficient, and professional throughout, which is to be commended.
