Restauracja TRUE
Gdansk
En un coup d'œil

During our trip to Gdańsk, we discovered True Restaurant and decided to have dinner there without realizing it was an award-winning place. Everything was amazing! A special thanks to Adam. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service. When my boyfriend made the reservation by phone, he mentioned that it was my birthday, mainly so we could get a nice table. We had already celebrated and cut a birthday cake earlier, so we weren’t expecting anything. To our surprise, Adam found a cake that was available in the restaurant, placed a candle on it, and surprised us with a lovely birthday celebration. We hadn’t even ordered a dessert! He is such a thoughtful and kind person that his gesture truly touched me. He also guessed that I had just turned 18… 😅 I’m actually 26! 🫢😅 If you ever visit this restaurant, make sure to ask for Adam. He made our evening truly unforgettable!
Great experience. If you like good food and quality service, this is a restaurant for you! Oysters was super fresh, Tatar the best we’ve had in Poland, and the surf n turf didn’t disappoint either. Our waiter added to the experience. Thank you
I began with a complimentary starter from the chef, a salmon croquette with a tuna tartare that combined beautifully. Next came a variety of house-made breads, which were incredibly soft, served alongside two dollops of flavored butter emulsion. Next, I was recommended by the one of the staff members a beef steak accompanied by asparagus, an incredible egg yolk sauce, and crispy Jerusalem artichoke chips, which created a perfect combination. For my main course, I chose the grilled octopus, which was served with a squid sauce, vegetables, herbs, and crispy sweet potato crisps. Coming from a country where octopus is a specialty, this dish was perhaps the least convincing. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but the flavor profile felt slightly unusual to me. For dessert, I ordered a meringue and berry cake served with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, alongside a tart berry sauce that provided an excellent contrast. The portion was very generous, yet the cake was so light. The meringue was crispy on the outside, while the inside remained soft and airy. It wasn't overly sweet, which was welcome after such a dinner, and it is easily one of the best desserts I have had recently. As a non-drinker, I opted for water, but the venue offers an extensive selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and long drinks. The venue was quiet, serene and sophisticated. The service was exceptional; the waitstaff were courteous, pleasant, and maintained a calm, deliberate pace, which was a welcome touch. I look forward to revisiting this establishment during my next trip to Gdańsk.
A fantastic meal. Great menu choices. There’s a focus on meat, and fish dishes. I had the beef tartare which was beautiful and then the surf and turf which came with a huge shrimp! Steak cooked to perfection. Good wine list. We sat in the front bit so you can see onto the street - it’s heated so didn’t get cold at all. Had a great 70s port to finish!
Exceptional experience! The seafood is incredibly fresh—the scallops and octopus were perfectly tender. Beautiful presentation, flawless service, and exactly the level of quality you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Highly recommended for those who love great steaks and seafood. Right in the heart of Gdańsk! Ps Dostałem także od nich prezent na urodziny
