Wonderful dinner of fresh fish! Quick service, large portions and good prices.
We tried 3 different fish and shrimp soup and all were delicious. I liked Salmon and Hlibu fish most, texture and tastes were really good. Sides were mainly same, fries and cabbage salad was good, but boiled potatoes and vegetables - not that much. Beer is good. As for atmosphere it's very crowdy and quite noisy. Service was good after we sad town. But not very welcoming in the beginning while we were waiting for tables - we had to ask several different waiters to pay attention
Gdansk being right by the sea, there are fish restaurants everywhere. There are two Rybakowka directly across the street from my hotel. I ordered a fish soup and fried sardines. The fish soup was very nice, absolutely no any kind of fishy taste or smell. Where I am from, the only sardines I can get come in a can so whole fried sardines are rare for me. These ones were fried perfectly without a heavy batter and not oily. I am considering coming back more.
First time in Gdansk? Try both the saltwater and freshwater fish! Where? At the top Polish Fish Restaurant around. Here. Where umami-ness of the fish shakes hands with the coziness and delightful service. Dobry apetyt, folks! PS: make an apointment for the busy hours, no more need to wait
