Very nice and comfortable rooms but the curtains are a joke. Very near to the center, perfect location!
Bad experience in room. Dirtiest bathrooms, Killer silence, Good kitchen. No lift, my room on 2nd floor.
I would strongly advise female travelers to avoid the female dorm located next to the kitchen. There appears to be a long-term resident/staff member occupying one of the beds, and the area around her bed is extremely dusty, cluttered and filled with old belongings, giving the room an untidy and uncomfortable atmosphere. It feels more like an old storage area than a hostel dorm. It gives a very unpleasant experience for hostelmates. While the rest of hostel appeared neat and clean, this particular dorm was so unpleasant. What made the experience worse was her behavior. She constantly tried to boss other guests around, acting more like a strict warden than a fellow occupant. Ironically, while she frequently instructed others not to talk, close doors softly and follow various rules, she herself would often speak loudly on the phone and disturb other guests. A hostel dorm should be a welcoming and comfortable space for all travelers. Unfortunately, the environment in this room felt controlling, unpleasant and far from the friendly hostel experience one would expect. After experiencing so many hostels around the world, this is the first time I have come across staff staying inside dorm and that too so untidy and rude. Management should seriously look into this situation and ensure that all guests are treated equally and respectfully.
The hostel itself is alright for one night. The bath- and showerrooms are not that great but they work. There isn’t a changing cabin in the showerrooms which made it quite uncomfortable as well as the fact that you can’t lock the showers. The beds make a lot of noise when moving around. Also the lockers inside the room didn’t have keys which you would only get, if you paid for them. The kitchen was not hygienic and I would recommend just going out to eat instead of cooking there. The reception was not open 24 hours as promised on the booking cites and some receptionists were unfriendly and hardly understood any English. Though one of the receptionists was really friendly, helpful and actually cared to make the stay there comfortable. Also if you have questions before your stay - just don’t bother. I tried calling multiple times, left voicemails and wrote emails which were not answered once. This needs to be improved.
