⭐️Points for sourdough bread! 👌🏻 👎🏻Points down for coffee. Would be much nicer if they offer coffee from some local roasters instead of the low quality bit chain such as Julius Meinl.
Really not good. Two main problems: 1) The “Fish and chips” is the oily battered kind. Not the nice breadcrumb type. Also, the “tartar” sauce isn’t tartar at all. Some weird cabbage and mayo thing? Kind of like coleslaw? And… our meals were served cold-warm, not even close to hot. 2) The service was bad. The older lady with glasses ignored a stack of prepared meals. Eventually noticed. Served half of them. And left the other half to go talk to people (but not actually taking orders though). Eventually another staff member showed up and collected our plates, because we told her they’d been sitting on the counter for ten minutes. And the restaurant was not even busy. Would have given 1 star, but the younger serving lady with glasses was very sweet when we first arrived and the wine was pretty good. Otherwise… total disappointment. Also… note to owner. Serving breakfast to 1:30pm is cool. But not allowing any lunch items until to be served until after 1:30pm is a silly business plan for a beach side restaurant.
A weekend for a group breakfast event of sorts. I'm not quite sure how many people attended, but probably maybe a dozen, so not a huge group. A mixed experience because the decor is a kind of blond wood and sort of a vaguely hipster cafe. It's on the beach in Sopot, so you get those prices and those views, which is nice. The food was good. I had shakshuka, which was pretty decent, although not outstanding and not cheap, and a coffee, which was excellent. The things I saw others having looked decent enough, good but not outstanding. The thing that really let the place down was not even the actual service, because the young woman who served us was actually doing her best. The kind of lack of organisation, or maybe inability to serve bigger groups. For example, coffees took ages to arrive. The food for some people took a very long time to arrive, and if you're doing a beach breakfast in the most fancy beach resort in Poland, you should be able to deal with 12 orders coming in at once, including 12 coffees. Wasn't 12 coffees because some people had juice, some people had tea. From what I believe, they didn't offer people separate bills, so it all had to be separated into bits, everybody's order, so there was also a bit of a faff with paying. The fact that they took so long to deliver 12 breakfasts in the late morning and didn't really give great service. Despite the girl serving doing her best, I think. Considering that, the fact that we were charged the service charge for big groups that also applied to people who arrived late and paid separately was technically correct but not great customer service. I would go there again by myself to have very, very good coffee and decent breakfast.I haven't tried the other dishes.
You would have to go here for the atmosphere. Lovely by the beach. Four of us ordered coffee the waiter brought it, we drank our coffee 30 minutes later our food came. We had breakfast and the sourdough bread is tasty. One little slice of bacon and two Sausages that were not listed on menu. I asked for fried eggs showed the waiter a photo and he came back with scrambled. He then was going to take the whole plate back? In order to make the fried eggs. Who does that make sense to? I said leave the plate and bring me the fried eggs on another plate. I then waited...and waited. I asked for salt and pepper the waiter with braces on his teeth passed us by three times and no salt and pepper or butter we ordered. We had to order more coffee and a lady server brought us four americanos the belonged to the table next to us. We told her and she put them down anyway. We then told the male waiter and he huffed away. The table next to us got up and left because their coffees never came. We finally got our capuchinos. I asked another server for salt and pepper and he immediately brought it. They charged us for extra eggs and the coffees we didn't order. My dog ate the scrambled eggs and cheap kielbasa. Take your chance it may go better. The music was great.
Amazing cod pierogis, even the coffee was good. The waitress was quite pleasant to deal with which is often not the case in touristy spots. Shrimp starter 10/10, pan fried fish on spinach potatoes also 10/10. My only regret is not having cash for a tip. Hopefully there will be next time :)
