Everybody was very nice. The rooms have no AC but do have large openable windows, which were good enough when we were there. It's adjacent to a major road, so if it's hot and you are on the street side you will need to choose between quiet (windows closed eliminated the noise completely) and cool (windows open have a nice breeze and not too many bugs, but definite road noise). The blackout shades had an annoying tendency to get stuck open. This matters in the summer as sunrise is at 4:30 AM. The location is suburban, with lovely local downtown and parks worth a visit an easy walk. Gdańsk sights (Museums, shopping, amber, beaches) are an easy and cheap taxi ride away (20-40 PLN, 5-10 USD: we took taxis/rideshare rather than drive as parking is more than that). Parking is ample and free.
